South China Tiger
£350.00Price
This original papercut was inspired by the South China Tiger; a species which has now sadly been classified as critically endangered. The tiger itself has been created from two seperate layers of paper. The back layer was sprayed a dark orange, and the top layer has thousands of tiny hair strands cut out and has then been sprayed using a handmade stencil I created. If you look closely you can see all of the tiny hairs!
The bamboo has been cut out from a single sheet of 160gsm paper which was then spray painted copper, which gives a lovely subtle shimmer in certain light. The piece has been sandwiched between two sheets of glass and floats over a jet black background. It comes framed in a stained black solid ash frame measuring 53 x 38cm.
