‘The Great Wave Off Kanagawa’ Miniature

Inspired by my love for Japan and my favourite piece of art, I have recreated a section from the Hokusai painting ‘The Great Wave Off Kanagawa’. This scaled down papercut has been carefully and lovingly created by cutting multiple layers of 160gsm paper with a scalpel. The sea spray has been hand painted and the layers of this piece create a beautiful 3D effect. This papercut measures a tiny 3.5x4.5cm and comes mounted and framed in a white frame.
